In India, the most popular sport is cricket. It is watched by over 1 billion members of society. All of those people watch the three types of Cricket: Test, ODI and 20/20. Britian brought Test cricket when they came to India. From that "original" Cricket form, the two other cricket forms, ODI and 20/20, were formed. The Indians want to move on to the newer styles of cricket, ODI and 20/20, while the British want to stick with the original Test Cricket. We chose the topic of Cricket because we believe that it has been influenced by the Western World greatly and we were interested in finding out more about it.

Mock Dialogue
Person A: Indian Grandfather
Person B: Indian Grandson
A: I like Test Cricket because it is a show of both physical and mental superiority over the opponent.
B: No, I don't like Test Cricket! It is too long. It takes over five days and no normal person has that much time and patience. I prefer 20/20 cricket. It is a man sport which only tests a person's ability to score runs in a short amount of time. It only takes about 4 hours so you don't have to waste 5 days just watching one game!
A: But Test Cricket is our traditional way and we cannot lose our traditions. They are our lives.
B: But we have to change things to move on. Without moving on we will repeat what happened in the past. And you know better than anyone else what happened in the past.
A: Our past was glorious, and through our past you have your future now.
B: The future is where our minds should be and that is what ODI and 20/20 are trying to illustrate plus test cricket is dying out.
A: Test cricket will never die because it is played my most of the players who play your 20/20 and ODI. Also 20/20 is making none Indian players play on our teams.
B: Don't you wish that Ponting or Peterson would play for India. Now they can play for your favorite team with some of the Indian guys too.
A: That is sickening I only want pure Indians on my favorite team.
B: I am sorry grandpa but this is how it is and how it is going to stay forever.
